I take this opportunity to welcome you all to NIFTEM, an institution setup to conduct cutting edge research and impart world class education in innovative and market oriented areas related to Food Processing Industries.

It is a matter of great joy for all of us to have you here as a part of the NIFTEM family in its first session commencing from August 16, 2012. NIFTEM, established by Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), has been notified as deemed to be university (under De-novo category) by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India based on the recommendations of AICTE and UGC. At NIFTEM, we aspire for excellence in research and education to meet the shortfall of such skilled manpower in the food processing sector which is competent in both Food Technology and Entrepreneurial Management. It will be our endeavour to provide you the most modern education in a world class learning environment. In view of this goal, NIFTEM has recruited talented and dedicated faculty members from India and Abroad. The faculty will be crucial in providing you exposure to latest academic material as well as practical experience to prepare you for global and challenging work environment. You will have the unique opportunity to interact with and learn from international researchers and students from across the world. With such rich exposure during your stay here, I am sure you will develop the technical knowledge and the managerial ability to achieve success in the vibrant sector of food processing. Our focus will be to make you utilize full potential to acquire knowledge, values and skills required for a successful career.
