Pioneering Excellence in Food Safety & Quality

The Centre for Food Research and Analysis (CFRA) is the specialized analytical arm of the National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), established under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI), Government of India. Functioning as a core component of the International Centre of Excellence in Food Safety & Quality, CFRA is a premier, state-of-the-art facility dedicated to strengthening the food safety ecosystem in India.

We operate as a strategic technical partner to the food industry, delivering a comprehensive 'One-Stop Solution' for compliance and innovation. From entrepreneurs to global exporters, we empower stakeholders with commercial-grade analysis, regulatory certification, and end-to-end product support. Far more than a standard testing facility, CFRA is recognized as a Referral Laboratory of FSSAI and National reference Laboratory, actively playing a pivotal role in shaping food standards, harmonization of protocols, and risk assessment policies in India.

Our Regulatory Standing & Accreditations
